Overview:
Jomard, founded on November 30, 2011, by human rights activists, is a legally
independent charity with financial and administrative autonomy.
They are dedicated to assisting the less fortunate in various areas, including
health, education, social services, economic support, and psychological aid.
Jomard operates primarily from its headquarters in Qamishli and extends its
charitable activities to Hasaka governorate and its surrounding areas.
Jomard Vision, Mission, and Activity Program
Our Vision is to be pioneers in humanitarian and charitable actions.
Our Mission is to provide economic, health, educational, social, and
psychological aid to individuals in need, empowering them to become active
and sustainable contributors to society.
Activity Program includes:

Mitan Centre for the revival of civil society.
Supporting Partners and Partnership:
PAO
Jomard has been collaborating with PAO (Partnering Aid Organization) since
2013, with a partnership agreement signed on October 1, 2014, lasting for two
years. Some of the projects and activities carried out include:
A. Distribution of 300 Food Items (FI) baskets in February 2013.
B. Distribution of 500 powder milk and children's nutrition items in August
2013.
C. Distribution of 500 food baskets in May 2013.
D. Distribution of 4,500 winter clothes baskets for children, at a rate of 2
per month, in February 2014.
E. Distribution of 1,500 hygiene baskets in June 2014.
F. Distribution of 2,000 food baskets in July 2014.
G. Distribution of 2,000 hygiene baskets in August 2014.
Collaboration with Mercy Corps - Distribution Summary
Jomard has been partnering with Mercy Corps since August 2014 through
monthly contracts. They have distributed the following aid baskets and
vouchers:
A. 2,291 food baskets.
B. 5,250 hygiene baskets.
C. 1,000 Women's baskets.
D. 600 children's baskets.
E. 750 Winter baskets.
F. 480 new arrival baskets.
G. 1,000 food vouchers.
H. 200 vouchers for supporting livestock breeders and farmers.
I. Work vs. money (cleaning of Na’mtli River).
Additionally, Jomard allocated food baskets for 450 families every two months
for 10 months, starting from October 2015.
Collaboration with Various Organizations:
Jomard has collaborated with several organizations to carry out humanitarian
projects:
Save the Children:
A partnership agreement began on March 1, 2016, under the project "food
security and livelihoods (FSL)" for 8 months, benefiting 1,000 families.
Additionally, a child needs assessment partnership took place in Tal Hamis for
three months starting on November 1, 2016.
Human Care Syria:
A partnership was established for preparing and distributing 450 baskets during
Ramadan.
Free Ranger:
A partnership agreement for the distribution of nutritional supplements for
children in Qamishli and the distribution of water filters to 250 families.
Actions and Projects
Jomard has been involved in a wide range of charitable actions and projects,
including:
A. Planting trees in Qamishli.
B. Distributing wheelchairs to people with special needs.
C. Covering the costs of optical, aural, and digestive/gastrointestinal
surgeries for many impoverished patients.
D. Providing monthly salaries to families cared for by women for over a
year.
E. Cleaning up neighbourhoods in Qamishli from garbage.
F. Offering free treatment to economically disadvantaged patients in
collaboration with various specialized doctors.
G. Conducting workshops on civil society concepts at the Mitan Centre.
H. Hosting educational and entertaining events and workshops for children
in Qamishli.
I. Donating winter clothing to the Nû Jiyana Association for people with
special needs in Amouda.
J. Contributing funds for the reconstruction of Kobani (Kobane).
K. Donating materials and medical equipment to the hospital in Amouda.
L. Delivering nine tons of medicine to hospitals in Derek, Serê Kaniyê (Ras
Alein), and the Public Medical Centre in Qamishli.
M. Donating a quantity of unavailable medicines in Qamishli to the Kurdish
Red Crescent (KRC).
N. Organizing an exhibition featuring talented artists with special needs.
O. Distributing financial assistance to families with members who have
special needs.
P. Conducting sports activities in Qamishli.
Mitan Centre for Civil Society Revival
The Mitan Centre, part of Jomards initiatives, is dedicated to promoting civil
society concepts and reviving them within the community. The centre conducts
workshops and vocational training for individuals with special needs and
women. It also organizes entertaining and educational workshops for children.
